Made using white outline on deep red background, this artwork shows a woman with a cow. The absence of colours does not take away from its richness, while the background ensures that the work does not become altogether flat. Neither the cow nor the tree is complete, and yet they make perfect sense together. The woman, the only figure in this work, is sitting with crossed ankles and one arm resting down beside her, suggesting a moment of leisure. And yet, she is not idle. Her extended arm and expressions, shows she is fully present and active in her interaction with the cow.
